More Than a Church

Statement of Faith

The Calvary Chapel Fellowship has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim outselves Christians.

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?

How to know God

From the day you were born, whether you realize it or not, you have been on a quest. You have been searching for something more, because deep down inside each one of us, there is a sense that life must have some kind of meaning and purpose beyond mere existence.

We are here for more, so much more.

Whether you are young or old, rich or poor, healthy or sick, we are all designed to know God in a deep and personal relationship. This relationship is only possible through His Son, Jesus Christ.

You can start your relationship with God right now!

First we must all realized that we are a sinner.
No matter how good of a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners.  We all fall short of God's desire for us to be holy. The Bible says, "There is none righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10 NSAB). This is because we can not become who are are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

Second we must recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for each of us.
The Bible tells us, "But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8 NASB). This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.  Also, John 3:16 NASB, shows that "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life".  That is exciting!

Third we must repent of our sins.

The Bible tells us, "Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19 NASB).  The word repent means to change our directions in life. Instead of running from God, we confess our sins, and run towards Him.

Fourth we Receive Jesus Christ into our lives.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday.  It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in . . . "

(Revelations 3:20 NASB).

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life.  I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior.  Thank You for saving me.  In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

If you just prayed this prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart! Your decision to follow Christ means that God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 NASB).
